Time:9:04 am.
Holy shit I just had -one- of the weirdest thing happen.

So, I'm listening to "An Honest Mistake" by The Bravery.

Anyway, I see this article on Cracked about celebrities who name their kids weird names. I see some guy from CSI and I'm like...who is that hot guy from CSI: Miami?

So I head on over to IMDb and look him up.
His name is Jonathan Togo...and as I usually do, I go and check if he's spoken for. (Which he isn't, heh)

So, I'm reading his trivia and see that he plays guitar. Hot!
And that he used to play in a band called Skabba the Hutt in college. Eh, the name could have been better.
...And that two former members of that band are now in THE BRAVERY.

...LOL.

It was funny to me, anyways. :P

Everyone else is talking about them, so I might as well attempt to think of some up.
Then, try not to break them :D

1. Start jogging again.
-My knee feels a lot better so I think I can finally start up again. Good thing, because these holidays have been brutal!

2. Make better friends.
-In 2007 I sucked at making quality friends (save for a few) and I think I need to sharpen my character judging skills.

3. Less arguments with Derek.
-There were too many petty bickering sessions in 2007.

4. Be more careful with money.
-With money back in my savings account, I need to be a wee more into actually saving it. (Which is hard with Derek around, lol.)

5....and I lost track. Yet another thing to update later, yay!

Subject:2008 Presidential Elections.
Time:7:07 am.
EDIT: NOT DONE. My nap wasn't enough and I'm tired :( WILL FINISH LATERRRRRRR.

Many thing to look forward to in 2008...

And the 2008 presidential election isn't one of them.
This is like a repeat of 2004...who do you want to pick, the lesser of the two evils? (Which, arguably, wasn't done last time.)

I cannot WAIT to see who the parties select as their candidate.
I'm still undecided who I want to vote for, or even if I want to vote at all.

This is a neat little interactive quiz, which candidate you agree with the most.
The only flaw is that it still divides Rep and Dem...and of course doesn't include any other parties.

Since, on my voter card I'm not registered to any specific party, here's both results:
As a Democrat my candidate would be: Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico.
As a Republican my candidate would be:

One thing caught my eyes, a statement by Barack Obama about important things to promote economical growth and prosperity:
"Third, I will promote digital inclusion. Getting broadband Internet access into every home and business in urban America at an affordable rate could give low-income people increased opportunities to start businesses and engage actively in our communities."

I'm sorry, but WHAT?
I know internet is awesome and stuff and I believe everyone should have it but...he chooses this as one of the three things that would make our country?
OOOOOOOKAY.

This next quote is a gem by Joe Biden on balancing the budget:
"...and cutting unnecessary programs like space based weapons."

NO. We NEED space-based weapons. Bastard.

And rightfully so.

This year hasn't been all that great, but it also hasn't been that terrible.

And with so much to look forward to in 2008, who cares about 2007!

[Long tirade about the presidential elections, made into a new post!]

I still have no idea what plans I have for tonight...Derek doesn't really want to venture far from Denham ( I don't blame him, he's driving!) so we'll probably just grab some drinks and watch TV.

I've noticed that the new* library in Denham sucks! I tried to search various titles and came up with squat. No Naked Lunch, hardly any Palahnuik (IE: Survivor and Choke) and no Hunter S. Thompson. FAIL.

(note: new meaning it was built and open while I was in BR...I hardly saw the damn thing being built.)
I hate when things like that happen. Especially around my neighbourhood, tons of new houses are going up...and I don't even notice it. I came home for the holidays and there's a new sub-division going up. It was there about 6 months ago, with newly paved roads and everything. I left for the semester and now there's like 5 homes. Just -bam-, homes.

Jesus, I hope I'm nearing 30 posts, lol.

Derek and I finally started talking about plans to move out of Louisiana. He still doesn't know where he want to go to Law School at...he's thinking LSU Law School just because of location. He said if he goes there, he wants to move to Baton Rouge for a bit, which is fine. As long as we don't find some ghetto apartment to rent.

We never really named a specific place to go...we want somewhere where the summer isn't as fucking hot and where the people aren't as hick. We need to be in some place where we can actually find jobs...though it should be easy for a lawyer and psychologist to find jobs, there are enough people getting into trouble and crazy people out there.

Which brings up another point...I'd love to work in conjunction with him. I think that'd be cute...doing mental evaluations or something for his clients...whatever. I still think working with him would be cute. :D Chances are I'm thinking that now, because I've only seen a small glimpse of his "professional" lawyer type (holy shit, he can argue, lol), and it'll probably change.

I want to work with the crazies anyways.

I've figured with even taking this semester off, I can graduate in Spring/Summer 2009. I'm going to take the two (If I can take both) Summer sessions, fall and wintersession '08. I think I only need ~40 hours, so it's entirely doable. We'll see, though.

I jump around too much!

Subject:Chinese
Time:2:32 pm.
I went to Great Wall off of College a week or so ago.

Yay, Chinese food, YUM!

Well, as I'm digging in to my beef and broccoli...I find a BUG.

It didn't look cooked either.

There it is, sitting on the same stalk of broccoli I'm eating.

Yeah, I nearly hurled.

So, as a word of caution...beware of Great Wall.

I won't be going there anytime soon...guess I'll have to go to India's for lunch! (oh, darn!)

I love alcohol. But rarely to the point of getting smashed. And, unfortunately, it doesn't take much to get that way.

Lately I've been trying Irish Creams. And wow, it's an obsession now. They're SO yummy.

I've tried 3 brands so far, Cask & Cream, McCormick's and Carolans.

The first one I bought, McCormick's is really good. It smells sorta like vanilla caramel. It's got a bigger sting to it that the others, even though they have the same alcohol content (17%!) It's smooth and rich, and it does have a slight caramel-like flavor to it.

The next one, Cask & Cream, isn't so good. It smells a little like old milk (not spoiled milk, though). it's got a kind of funny tang to it...it's really hard to describe. Derek says it tastes like someone mixed old cream with cheap Whiskey, and I really have to agree with him. It's one of those drinks you don't sip, you chug it.

The last one, Carolans is good too. This one smells a lot like caramel. The sting isn't there, so it's good to just casually sip. It's rich and creamy...has a hint of vanilla in it.

In all, I like Irish Cream. I want to try Bailey's, since it's the ORIGINAL Irish Cream...so I hope it's good.

If I had to pick another brand to buy out of these, it would be Carolans, followed by McCormick's. I'm not even going to think about Cask & Cream again, bleh.

Also, while I was at Target last night, I got a bottle of Extra Stout Guinness, because I've been hearing such good things about how good it is.
Well, I'm not much of a beer person, can't stand the taste of any I've tried.

But this...this was decent. I don't think it's something I can drink all the time, but it's a lot better than anything else I've tried.

With the rest of the bottle I attempted to make an Irish Car Bomb, even though I don't have any Whiskey...or a shot glass.
And you can imagine what happened.
Curdled to hell and back.
And, although it doesn't look very tasty when curdled...it's still pretty damn good.

My liver is going to hate me in 10 years, isn't it?

Music:"Goliath" - The Mars Volta.
It's 1:30pm, and I've gotten 3 hours of sleep. I might be a little tired.

I'm going to stick with my decision of taking next semester off.
I'm telling my parents I'm in school, though.

If all keeps going well and we keep getting along, I'll be able to live with Derek again this semester.
I know we sometimes get tired of each other. D:

He started talking about going on a trip this summer, mainly overseas somewhere.
He also mentioned New York, which I think is more plausible. (Me, on a plane over an ocean, nothx.)

With my new up-and-coming mall job, it should be do-able.

But, first and foremost, I have to take care of Christmas stuff.
I have NO idea what to get him, or anyone else for that matter.
I think it's likewise all the way around, though.

Anyways +1 post count, thxbye.

And wtf, I must be allergic to the laundry detergent we've been using.
I have all these nasty itchy rashes! GAH!@

I'm excited.

We went from losing to Arkansas in triple overtime, to winning the SEC Championship AND being back in the running for the big bowl game. (Thanks for losing, Missouri and West Virginia.)

Then, they announced, on January 7th, 2008 at 8pm CST in the New Orleans Superdome that Ohio State and LSU would play for the BCS Title game.

How EXCITING!

PLUS. Les Miles announced he's staying at LSU! Nebraska can have Bo Pellini. We have Les. ilu Les <3

I can't wait to get a National Champs T-shirt!

I hope to get tickets! Though, they are $175...for STUDENT tickets. It might be worth it. MAYBE.

Anyways, I'll be posting my rant on Transsexuals soon.

I'm starting this up again, but not in the normal conventional way. I'm going to use this to make money. Oh, I'm so horrible yadda yadda.

So, anyone who still has this old, mouldy, fetid thing added and doesn't wish to see updates anymore, delete me from your list. (Or, however it works, it's been too long to remember exactly.)

So, there you have it.

I'm going on a rant about transsexuals next, so caveat emptor.

At any rate...
Can you guess which band I'm digging right now?
I bet you can't. In like, a million years.
